Fluxo clinch upset against 00 Nation
Fluxo have claimed an upset win against their Brazilian colleagues 00 Nation, denying the squad a chance to continue their recent strong results. Fluxo will now face off against MIBR to see which team will head to Copenhagen in November.
The veto between the two squads saw the action close in on Ancient, Mirage, and Nuke, with Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato's squad picking Ancient.
Fluxo started the action off their T-side, winning their opening T-side before claiming the next two rounds. 00 Nation came back by winning the next four rounds before Fluxo dominated the rest of the half to claim a 9-6 lead heading into the second half. After switching sides, Fluxo evened up the pistol rounds before taking the lead by winning the next three rounds. 00 Nation's control of the second half began to slip as Fluxo won seven out the next eight rounds to win Ancient 16-11.
Moving onto 00 Nation's map pick, Epitacio "TACO" de Melo's troops were failure underwhelming as Fluxo won their opening CT-side pistol round before putting up a convincing 10-5 half. Their control of Mirage continued as they went three for four on pistol rounds before evenly splitting the second half to win 16-10 and make their way into the finals.
Over the course of the series, João "felps" Vasconcellos had a throwback series, putting up a 1.45 rating and 108.5 ADR.
Fluxo will now face off against MIBR tomorrow at 04:30PM.
