Swahn claims BHOP owner was dishonest in apology
Yesterday, BHOP posted an apology to recently cut players Brody "BeaKie" Kelly and Brett "brett" Rhein on Twitter, claiming that Christopher "Swahn" Swahn and co. cut the duo without the organization's permission or knowledge. However, within hours of BHOP making those claims, Swahn posted chatlogs on Twitter seemingly showing that BHOP were being dishonest with the facts in their apology post.
The first screenshot Swahn posted is a discussion relating to whether each of the players would recieve their fourth and final scheduled payment from BHOP. CountWaffles claims that due to the squad finishing Relegation and thus finishing their season, the contract had concluded and they would not receive the fourth payment earmarked for any playoffs campaign. Dust2.us has reviewed the players' contracts and can confirm that as soon as Relegation finished, the team no longer had any contractual relationship with BHOP.
This pokes a major hole in BHOP's claim that the move was done without their "consent or knowledge." As the team was no longer tied to BHOP, informing their former employer of such a move was more of a polite formality than an outright requirement and they definitely did not need any consent from CountWaffles.
The second screenshot shows the exact timestamp when Swahn informed CountWaffles of BeaKie and brett's removal. This once again calls CountWaffle's claims in question as the fact that BHOP "learn[ed] of the changes only via Twitter well after the changes were made" appears to be largely untrue as he was personally told 30 minutes before the roster move became public.
Overall, with BHOP's claims being largely invalidated by Swahn's evidence, the fact still remains that BHOP have no team and ex-BHOP currently have no home for next season. It is unknown if BHOP will look to find a new CS:GO squad for next season, but they may need time to lick their wounds from the largely imagined damages they received from their former team.
