exit's first map performance will be one to remember

First BLAST Fall Showdown NA grand finalist found

MIBR are now one step closer to the BLAST Fall Finals.

With a Brazilian duel already confirmed for the grand finals after yesterday's 00 Nation win, it is only a matter of knowing which teams will represent the country.

Sharks find themselves in the semis after a 2-0 surprise win over Complexity, while MIBR eliminated oNe with a 2-1 win.

Today, Sharks and MIBR will fight on Vertigo and Nuke. If needed, teams will go on to Ancient to decide the first grand finalist. The Vertigo pick came from Sharks, which could have caught MIBR off-guard because the Jhonatan "jnt" Silva and company have only played it once before and it has been two months since then.

It looked like a great T-side pistol for Sharks but Henrique "HEN1" Teles and Raphael "exit" Lacerda won the 2v3. After two conviving round wins for MIBR, Sharks were able to dribble past their opponent's defense and win a round. Two more rounds went MIBR's way before Victor "togs" Rapassi managed to win another for his team with two important kills on a force buy round. After another round went over to the CTs, jnt finally got some kills, with two crucial frags to win the round for his team. That round loss put MIBR in a tough place economically, needing to save some money which propelled Sharks to a 6-4 score. This time MIBR bounced back for good, ending the half 11-4, and not dropping a single round after that one.

To start the second half, once again, exit shined. He helped his team win the T-side pistol, then he added 3 victims to his list on the next round and was able to plant the bomb on a lost round. 13-5 was the score and exit already had 26 kills to his name. Sharks managed to get two more before MIBR answered with two. With a chance to close map one, MIBR lost against a very low buy. Breno "brnz4n" Poletto closed the map with a 4k round to get MIBR up 1-0 in the series after winning Vertigo 16-8.

Nuke's start was inverted from the previous map. It was looking like MIBR were going to take the T-side pistol, but a flank from Richard 'chay' Seidy changed the direction of the round. The very next round it was Vinicius 'n1ssim' Pereira shining, after a poor first map. Round three saw n1ssim getting another 3k and winning the round. After the 3-0 start, the MIBR squad was finally able to get one on the board, quickly followed by another. Sharks were looking very strong, but with some slips here and there. The first half ended 10-5 in favor of Sharks.

The second half had Sharks claiming both pistols of the map. Despite this, MIBR won the next two, closing the gap to four rounds. Sharks answered back but that was it for a while. MIBR went on a winning streak, that started with them down 8-12 and ended with them in front 14-13. The comeback was nearly done after exit and HEN1 found themselves in a 2v1 to defuse the bomb against togs. The only hope for Sharks was to take the map to overtime, but it wasn't possible. MIBR closed the map 16-13 and claimed the first spot in the grand final of the BLAST Fall Showdown NA.
