Isurus make it to day three of the RMR

Isurus freeze out ARCTIC

ARCTIC leaves the Americas RMR winless.

In a battle between two 0-2, the winner gets a fighting chance to maybe pull out an underdog victory. The loser, unfortunately, is sent home with nothing to their name. ARCTIC entered the RMR as the lowest-ranked teams, but, they were definitely no pushovers, taking 11 rounds against ATK and 13 against paiN. Their opponents, Isurus, had a much worse run starting out the RMR, combining for just 12 rounds in their two best-of-ones.

To get both teams' first best-of-three underway, the picks went to Inferno and Ancient, Isurus and ARCTIC's choice respectively, with a decider on Overpass if necessary. Isurus came out of the gate bolting on Inferno, winning their T-side pistol and conversion before ARCTIC evened out the scoreline. Rounds went back and forth but ARCTIC's inability to string rounds together put Isurus in a sizeable advantage at 10-5 exiting the half.

The Argentinian side's CT-side proved stellar as well, picking up the first five rounds of the half, forcing ARCTIC to need a ludicrous comeback from 15-5. The Brazilians made it four rounds into this comeback before Isurus eventually took the only round necessary to close it out. While only finishing with nine rounds, ARCTIC could definitely look towards Allan "history" Lawrenz's performance as a guiding light, as he racked up 22 kills with only 15 deaths on Inferno.

With their map pick in their back pocket, Isurus looked towards Ancient to close out the series. Since they were able to choose sides, they clearly chose the superior CT-side to attempt to get out to an early lead at the half. They did just that, winning the pistol and the following few rounds, making it six rounds deep before ARCTIC ended the unanswered streak. The ARCTIC responses was short-lived however, as the Brazilians could only muster three rounds before Isurus completely blocked their T-side out, winning the half 12-3.

Isurus wanted to get back to hotel early, it seemed, as they took their T-side pistol as well and the conversion, making it 14-3 in their favor. The Brazilians struck back somewhat, but were unable to get the ball rolling, ending the game in Isurus' favor at 16-10

ARCTIC are eliminated from the Americas RMR, and as such, their Rio Major hopes have come to an end. Isurus' next match-up is undetermined, but they will face a 1-2 team tomorrow where they still have a shot of making the Major.
