Stick around for oNe more round
In a matchup against two of NA's qualified teams to the RMR, oNe and Infinity looked to stave off elimination after a disappointing group play so far. With oNe having greater aspirations and hoping to challenge for one of the last spots available, they set their sights on cleaning up today in a quick affair.
The match started out on Infinity's pick of Inferno, where the Mexican organization was hoping to get out to an early start which they did after winning the first of the match. However, all the odds were not in the favor of Francisco "k1Nky" Alvares and friends as they would suffer a tough offensive round as they would only get two more rounds after the pistol conversions to end the half 5-10.
When switching over to the CT side, things fared significantly better Infinity as they hoped to gain the upper hand. Despite winning the pistol, neither team were able to string more than three rounds together and oNe were able to build up and win important gun rounds to turn the game their favor 16-14.
oNe took the opportunity of taking their opponent's map pick by taking firm control of their own, which was Mirage. oNe would win their first pistol of the match, but quickly fall behind 5-3 after several failed bombsite takes. Eventually, oNe were able to get into the groove of things and would pick up seven rounds compared to Infinity's one, to finish the half 9-6.
From there, it was just all oNe all the way. The CT-pistol also went in oNe's favor and they would steamroll the next five rounds to take a 14-6 lead before Infinity even knew what hit them. The Mexican team was able to respond with three rounds while oNe got their bearings back, but they couldn't do much else as they were eventually defeated 16-10
