00 Nation part ways with coach
Amid reports of an imminent overhaul of the entire roster, 00 Nation have announced that João "righi" Righi has been relieved of his coaching duties and is no longer tied to the organization. This move brings an end to a brief five-month tenure for the coach which began with his signing back in January.
00 Nation failed to achieve any notable successes with righi as their skipper, notably bowing out of the Americas RMR in 12th-14th place, with an upset victory over Liquid in a BO1 being their only highlight of the event. Outside of this placing, things continued to look bleak for the Brazilian roster, with a winless record in the group stage of the third Pinnacle Cup seeing the side finish in 19th-20th place.
For the roster helmed by Marcelo "coldzera" David, these results were simply not up to par. This led to the organization benching Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and instead reportedly set their sights on the GODSENT trio of Bruno "latto" Rebelatto, Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer, and Epitacio "TACO" de Melo, in a bid to improve what has undoubtedly been a disappointing start to 2022.
00 Nation currently have:
-
Vinicius "vsm" Moreira
-
Marcelo "coldzera" David
-
Santino "try" Rigal
-
Leonardo "leo_drk" Oliveira (Inactive)
-
Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa (Inactive)
Should 00 Nation be successful in their acquisition of the GODSENT trio, their next outing will be at ESL Challenger Valencia, with the $100,000 event scheduled to run from July 1st-3rd.
