00 Nation to overhaul roster around coldzera
00 Nation is pivoting away from its initial plan to replace Leonardo “leo_drk” Oliveira and opting to rework the roster almost entirely, keeping only Marcelo “coldzera” David, according to a report by Dust2.com.br.
Instead of a simple replacement, 00 Nation intends to acquire four players from GODSENT's starting lineup, as well as the coaching staff. The massive transaction includes Bruno "latto" Rebelatto, Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara, Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer, Epitácio "TACO" de Melo, head coach Olavo "chucky" Napoleão, and assistant coach Alan "aDr" Riveros.
As initially reported by The Enemy, the talks were not serious at first but recently advanced between the two organizations. There is no formal agreement between the parties yet, but players from both teams have already been informed of the interest, and 00 Nation is expected to move forward with an official proposal soon. At the moment, it is not possible to know if the deal would be finalized before GODSENT's triage of obligations over the next month, which includes Roobet Cup, ESL Challenger Valencia, and IEM Cologne Play-In.
GODSENT responded in the initial report, stating the organization "does not comment on rumors". 00 Nation reportedly expressed the same thing, adding that "all the stories about building our team are hampering our work", and that "the CS:GO line-up will be a competitive line-up. The organization reiterates that studies and analysis are being done and all the news will be revealed soon".
The overhaul would leave Henrique "HEN1" Teles as the lone member of GODSENT's roster. As it stands, it is unknown if GODSENT would rebuild the roster or even stay in Counter-Strike. As for Mario "malbsMd" Samoya, Vinicius "vsm" Moreira, and Santino "try" Rigal would be placed to the 00 Nation bench. However, malbsMd is on the radar of oNe following the benching of Enzo "xns" Henrique. As for try, there is interest for him to return to 9z to replace Luca "Luken" Nadotti should these moves take place.
The completion of this deal would mark the first time the two-time Major winning pair coldzera and TACO were together since 2019. The two were together as a part of the greatest Brazilian lineup in CS:GO history, winning ten international titles alongside the two Majors.
Should the deal go through, the two teams will be:
