Misfits redeem themselves on Cache; send CLG packing
Despite their previous debacle on Cache, Misfits were willing to play the map again. Their confidence was well rewarded, as they would win the pistol and the five ensuing rounds — despite an awkward situation in the fourth round where they allowed the bomb to be dropped in a compromising position.
Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland did his best to inspire his team in the sixth round, when he was able to claim two kills on a solo retake, but he was unable to defuse the bomb. CLG would not get a round on the board until the following round. They would go on a four round win streak, and then claim the last round of the half for a 10-5 score line in Misfits favor.
The second half was all Misfits, as they claimed the pistol and quickly got up to 13-5. CLG were able to win two isolated rounds, but it was just a matter of time until Sean "seang@res" Gares and his men hit sixteen rounds.
Having kept themselves alive a bit longer, Misfits will now go on to face to the loser of the match between European upstarts OpTic and North American powerhouse Liquid.
