Complexity fall to FaZe in close Bucharest third-place decider
This morning Complexity faced off against FaZe in the third-place decider match at PGL Bucharest 2025. While it was somewhat overshadowed by the bout between G2 and Falcons later in the day, Complexity continued to demonstrate their recent uptick in form despite a 2-0 loss to FaZe, playing two close maps against Finn "karrigan" Andersen's troops.
Dust2 kicked off with COL winning their opening T-side pistol and the following round before FaZe answered back by winning the next six rounds in a row on their CT-side before winning the half 7-5. Moving on to T-side, FaZe quickly took the initiative by winning the first five rounds in the half, placing the European squad on match point before COL answered back with five rounds of their own. With a potential overtime on the cards, FaZe would deny this opportunity to COL as they won the next round to claim Dust2 13-10.
Shifting to Inferno, Complexity were in the driver's seat on their T-side, as Michael "Grim" Wince led the way for his team to win the first half 8-4 while FaZe struggled to deal with the Americans on their map pick. This dominant form unfortunately began to taper off in the second half as COL were completely run over on their own CT-side, with David "frozen" Čerňanský serving as a battering ram for FaZe to post a tidy 9-3 T-side, thus winning the map 13-11.
Complexity will now gear up for the BLAST.tv Austin Major NA MRQ when it kicks off on April 15th.
