Complexity survive Getting Info scare in BLAST.tv Austin Major NA MRQ opener
Complexity have topped their opening match in the BLAST.tv Austin Major NA MRQ, winning a scrappy series against Getting Info to come within one win of qualifying for the Austin Major. While the series was ultimately a 2-0 win for Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk, Getting Info did everything in their power to make it difficult for the PGL Bucharest 2025 semifinalists, with Ancient requiring 24 rounds to break the deadlock while Anubis went into double overtime.
Ancient began with COL winning the first two rounds on their T-side before Getting Info answered back with five rounds of their own. The rest of the half ended up being a sweep for Complexity as they then won the next five rounds to claim a narrow 7-5 lead at halftime. After switching sides, Complexity once again won the pistol round and the following round before Getting Info tied things up with four rounds of their own. The final rounds of the game ended up being a scrappy affair with the two sides trading rounds back and forth before Complexity claimed the 24th round to take Ancient 13-11.
Moving onto Anubis, the deadlock between the two teams did not break in the slightest, as the longest run of rounds in the first half was three CT rounds by Complexity. This would see the first half end once again with a 7-5 scoreline in favor of COL. Moving into the second half, Complexity were the first to find double digits, climbing up to an 11-6 scoreline before being unable to close things out against Getting Info, leading to overtime.
The first overtime on Anubis was ultimately indecisive, with Getting Info doing well to keep Complexity at bay, however Complexity would launch into a perfect T-side at the very end of the game, allowing them to break the stalemate and take Anubis 19-17.
