NRG survive overtime; send Luminosity home
With their tournament lives on the line, Luminosity and NRG met each other on Train.
NRG captured the opening pistol on the Counter-Terrorist side, and added two more aftewards. Luminosity immediately got back into the game to bring the score to 4-4.
From here it was almost all Luminosity, as NRG would be unable to string rounds together, and would have no successful retakes in the entire half. The Brazilians would end the half with four straight rounds to finish up with a 10-5 advantage.
Luminosity would take the second half pistol, as well as the following round, advancing their score to 12-5. NRG finally showed signs of life, winning five rounds in a row.
The rest of the half would see the teams exchange small round streaks, but the advantage lied with NRG on their Terrorist side, especially with Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte coming alive as the half wound down to a 15-15 deadlock.
The first half of overtime would go 2-1 in NRG's favor, punctuated by an ace from none other than the aforementioned Brehze. With the score at 17-17, Luminosity were able to pierce the inner bombsite, but NRG pulled off a clean retake. With this, NRG were finally able to closeout the match on the following round.
