Official: flusha joins Cloud9
Cloud9 have confirmed that they have signed Robin "flusha" Rönnquist on a permament basis, just in time for the upcoming BLAST Pro Series Istanbul event, set to take place on September 28th-29th.
flusha replaces Martin "STYKO" Styk, who had been on loan to the American organization since August, competing with the team at ESL One Cologne, ELEAGUE Premier and the FACEIT London Major. The Swedish player joins after being benched from fnatic on September 21st, as the team failed to reach the playoffs of a Major for the first time in the CS:GO era. This means Maikil "Golden" Selim will be reuniting with his former teammate, after he himself was placed on fnatic's bench back in June.
STYKO confirmed his exit from the team yesterday through Instagram, where he stated that although he wanted to reveal more on his future, he would have to "coordinate my statement with Cloud9 social media." STYKO returns to an inactive position on mousesports' roster.
Cloud9's new line-up is as follows:
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta
- Will "RUSH" Wierzba
- Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham
- Maikil "Golden" Selim
- Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
- Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
Cloud9's first game with this roster will be at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul, facing off against MIBR on the 28th September, which will be followed by a match against Virtus.pro. It is to be assumed that flush will move to Los Angeles and the Cloud9 house before the start of EPL.
