Monstars disband; RESOLUTE to field RIKO, REZU
With the IEM Chicago qualifier kicking off today, Monstars and RESOLUTE have seen drastic roster changes as the event inches closer. On Monstars' side, Austin "crashies" Roberts and David "Xp3" Garrido have announced that they're seeking a team for the upcoming season of MDL.
As we reported earlier, both players were previously planning to play with Victor "food" Wong and David "Toy" Han of RESOLUTE for the qualifier under the Monstars name. Those plans immediately changed when Tyson "TenZ" Ngo's trial came to an end on Dignitas and the player reunited with the RESOLUTE duo.
On Twitter, Toy has announced the roster of RESOLUTE for the IEM Chicago qualifier. Along with RESOLUTE's core, the team will field Jeff "REZU" Ngo along with Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce, who was last set to play with Monstars in the qualifier.
While Toy's tweet announces REZU as a part of the team's roster for the qualifier, Dust2.us has learned that the team are "still looking at all options."
RESOLUTE's roster for the IEM Chicago qualifier will be:
- Victor "food" Wong
- David "Toy" Han
- Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
- Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
- Jeff "REZU" Ngo
- Kyle "flowsicK" Mendez (Coach)
With Xp3 and crashies announcing their free agency and RIKO set to play with RESOLUTE for the time being, it is unknown what will become of Monstars' ESEA slot for Season 29, however Xp3 and crashies are able to maintain the spot should they stay together.
