Fragadelphia groups I, J, K finished
Broken block
Six more teams have been confirmed for the playoffs as three more groups have concluded. Only two more groups remain, which will be completed tonight to determine the teams for the Fragadelphia 12 playoffs bracket.
Group I
Team | Matches | Wins | Ties | Losses | RD | Points |
Mythic | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | +25 | 9 |
3 Canadians 2 Americans | 3 | 2 | 1 | 1 | +5 | 4 |
CLG Red | 3 | 1 | 0 | 2 | -12 | 3 |
Strawberry Puppy Kisses | 3 | 0 | 1 | 2 | -18 | 1 |
While notoriously known for avoiding LAN appearances, Mythic dominated their group, with Erik "fl0m" Flom taking all three matches with his team easily and qualifying for the playoffs bracket. The other team to qualify for the playoffs is 3 Canadians 2 Americans; the young Canadian team booked a spot in the playoffs after dominating CLG Red and tying against Strawberry Puppy Kisses, which also gave us the first tied match of the event.
As a result of the loss, CLG Red will miss out on the Fragadelphia playoffs despite their 6-woman roster. Strawberry Puppy Kisses are also eliminated, with only one tie and two losses.
Group J
Team | Matches | Wins | Losses | RD | Points |
oNe | 3 | 3 | 0 | +44 | 9 |
Grizzlys | 3 | 2 | 1 | +13 | 6 |
Secret Geniuses Club | 3 | 1 | 2 | -17 | 3 |
The Frag Dolphins | 3 | 0 | 3 | -40 | 0 |
After moving to the United States half a year ago, oNe have taken their Fragadelphia group by storm, dominating their opponents 16-3, 16-1, and 16-0, easily giving them a spot in the playoffs. Similar to past events, Alencar "trk" Rossato continued to be one of oNe's strongest players. The all-Canadian Grizzlys were also a strong contender, taking two matches 16-6 and 16-0, barring their 16-3 loss to oNe.
Group J is the only group so far where no players from the United States qualified for the playoffs.
Group K
Team | Matches | Wins | Losses | RD | Points |
iNTACT | 3 | 3 | 0 | +31 | 9 |
Mentality | 3 | 2 | 1 | +19 | 6 |
Vital | 3 | 1 | 2 | -18 | 3 |
First Picks | 3 | 0 | 3 | -32 | 0 |
iNTACT, who are currently in the ESEA Main playoffs bracket, were in their optimal state as a strong performance from Sam "Noxio" Goodwin led his team easily through the group. The team were also able to take down Mentality, who were recently knocked out in the first round of Advanced playoffs by Vault and are currently fielding Prospects' Blake "Strings" Stringer. Nonetheless, both teams advance to the playoffs bracket, with Vital and First Picks taking hard losses to the Main and Advanced teams.
Groups L and M are currently underway, which will determine the last four teams in the playoffs bracket, which will kick off tomorrow. Stay tuned for more coverage from Dust2.us
