ESEA Advanced Season 28 playoffs kickoff
The opening round of playoffs for ESEA's Advanced Division began on July 30th and has had both expected and unexpected results, with some of the best teams dominating and a few faltering. The first stage of the playoffs saw oNe continue to dominate, Big Frames win in a close series, and Vault upset Mentality.
The South American squad had no issues dealing with Reform in this series. The number one seed in the playoffs dominated on both Overpass and Cache. Every player on oNe carried their own weight throughout the series, but Alencar "trk" Rossato stood above the rest with a 1.58 Rating and also boasting an ADR of 93.4 over the Bo3.

With that win, they will move on to face Whatever It Takes. Andrew "BooMie" Knight and company defeated InControl in 3 maps. The series was competitive, but BooMie went off and was the MVP of the series going 53-37 with a server high ADR of 88.3.

Hysteria, led by Jeremy "Mundle" King, defeated disADVANCtagED 2-0. The series was not very close as Mundle went 43-19 with an ADR of 106.8 and seemed to put disADVANCtagED at a disadvantage.

The Fundamentals out guerilla warfared Guerilla Tactics winning the Bo3 2-1. The winning team had standout perfomances by both Nolan "Temperature" Pepper and Ryan "ROBBY1" Robshaw. Temperature cooled down the opposition going 69-39 with an ADR of 96. ROBBY1 helped out the cause with his 60-40 and 85.6 ADR.

Hysteria and The Fundamentals will meet in Round 2. They played once before this season with Hysteria winning their previous meeting 16-12 on Mirage. The Fundamentals look to get revenge for their loss agaisnt Hysteria during the regular season and to move past them into Round 3 of the playoffs.
Big Frames came out on top of Cerus in the closest matchup of the first round. Andy "devastation" Parr devastated his opponents with a scoreline of 66-48 with an ADR of 84.2. In a losing effort, CERUS' Cameron "cjb" Bahl had a nice series as well going 64-54 with an ADR of 79.2.

Uber To Your Crib got lost on the way home, caught up, and tossed aside by Geostorm. Across the board, no one on Geostorm had a bad series with none of their players having a negative scoreline. The most impressive player for the winning team had to be Daniel "picky" Milazzo who top fragged and had the highest ADR on the server at 45-29 and 99.2 respectively.

Big Frames and Geostorm will face off in Round 2 of ESEA's Advanced Playoffs. The two teams faced off on Cache during the regular season. In this match, Geostorm won 16-6 with Jack "JackZ" Zaruba having a stellar match going 28-12 with an ADR of 128.2.
ETHEREAL beat Glockoma 2-1 in their opening round Bo3. The mostly Canadian team could not handle the ETHEREAL duo of Jin "Jindoke" Park and Dennison "fdeN" Fong going off. Jindoke had the highest ADR on his team with an 85.9. His teammate fdeN was the team's top-frag going 66-44.

The Columbian/American/Guatemalan cruised to victory led by Javier "cRUZj" Cruz in this series. The Guatemalan born player had the server high in frags going 66-42 and was the highest rated player of the match with a 1.43.

This very well could be a close series if both teams play like that again. If Vault win this time as well, they will move onto Round 3 and past the 10th seed of ETHEREAL.
