launders opens up about absence from events
In a Twitter post, Mohan "launders" Govindasamy rebuked claims that he had quit casting at events and opened up about his situation in the United States.
According to his Twitter post, launders moved to the US after he was hired by Yahoo for their esports division in March of 2017. After Yahoo closed its esports division two months later, launders decided to stay in the US and move into freelancing and expanding boxr.
However, launders was unable to travel outside of the country due to not receiving a permit that would allow him to travel while he awaited a response to his EB-1 visa application. As a result, launders was forced to forgo opportunities to cast at ESL One Belo Horizonte, DreamHack Summer, and ECS Season 5 Finals due to the venues being situated outside of the US.
Despite his inability to travel outside of the country, launders did appear at multiple events based in the states, such as DreamHack Austin, cs_summit 2, and the ECS S5 regular season.
Ultimately, launders has decided to abandon the visa and return to Toronto as to not hinder future opportunities to cast at events. launders also announced that he would be be available to cast at events as a duo with Conner "Scrawny" Girvan, who he has previously casted with.
