MIBR sign YNk as Head Coach
Immortals-owned Brazilian team MIBR have today announced they have signed Janko “YNk” Paunović as the team's Head Coach. MIBR had been without a formal coach since they were still under SK Gaming in August 2016, when Wilton "zews" Prado left to join the former Immortals roster.
YNk has become well known as an on-screen analyst for various CS:GO events in recent years, and becomes the second on-screen talent to join the Immortals organization after Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen became General Manager in February this year.
YNk joins the organization as of today, and is set to start working hands-on with the team when they start their Madrid bootcamp on August 13th, after the break and in anticipation of the upcoming Major and DreamHack Masters Stockholm, which commences August 29th. Whether or not YNk's role as an analyst will continue in the future now he has taken up this role is yet to be confirmed.
On his Instagram page, YNk released a statement on joining MIBR:
I'm incredibly excited to be a part of MIBR as their new coach! I have a lot of respect for the organisation and the way they do things. The opportunity to work with some of the best players this game has ever seen is something I couldn't pass on. I'm looking forward to this new challenge and to getting this team back to where it belongs, the #1 spot in the world!
This is MIBR's latest change to the roster, after American Tarik "tarik" Celik joined the team in mid-June, replacing Brazilian Ricardo "boltz" Prass.
The MIBR roster is now as follows:
- Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
- Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
- Marcelo "coldzera" David
- Jake "Stewie2K" Yip
- Tarik "tarik" Celik
- Janko "YNk" Paunović (Coach)
- Ricardo "dead" Sinigaglia (Manager)
- Ricardo "boltz" Prass (Inactive)
