Bravado and Vision book tickets to MDL finals
Bravado and Vision have defeated Monstars and Gorilla Gang respectively to earn their way to the finals of MDL's Playoffs.
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek had an impressive performance against Monstars in the semifinals. In the series, he went 53-27 and had an ADR of 96.1.
Bravado won the series against Monstars 2-0. They won their map pick Inferno 16-5. The match on Mirage was a close game. Bravado was able to edge out Monstars in overtime 19-16.
Dimitri "Detrony" Hadjipaschali and Rhys "Fadey" Armstrong each had 2v1 clutches in overtime. Detrony's heroics were on T side, where he was able to deagle the last two players as they were defusing. Fadey's clutch took place on CT side while retaking A-site to bring Bravado to map and series point.
Vision defeated Gorilla Gang in a close series. Ricky "floppy" Kemery led the way for Vision in this Bo3, he went 66-56 with an ADR of 103.2.
Vision won this semifinal 2-1. Train went the way of Vision winning the map 16-10. Gorilla Gang would strike back winning Overpass 16-5 to even out the series. The final map in the Bo3 was on Nuke. Going into the second half, Gorilla Gang was in the lead with a score of 9-6 after their CT side. Ben "ben1337" Smith and his team won their T pistol round, but then would get eco'd by Vision. Vision would carry the momentum from there and end up having a 10-3 CT half and win the game 16-12.
This leaves the playoffs with two teams left. Bravado the South African squad will take on the American/Canadian/Spanish mix in the finals. One of these two teams will win and take home $16,650 for being the best team in MDL.
