Dignitas to field stand-ins in wake of "internal differences"
Dignitas find themselves in a state of flux after falling out of the ESEA MDL Season 28 playoffs last night at the hands of Bravado.
The team are set to field FYB's Anthony "gMd" Guimond and RESOLUTE's Tyson "TenZ" Ngo in their match against compLexity tonight in the StarSeries i-League Season 6 qualifier. The duo will be stepping into the spots of Michael "Grim" Wince and Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki, who sources say the team had tried to replace before MDL playoffs began.
The reason for the benchings have been chalked up to both performance and internal differences within the team. As of now, both players remain under contract with the organization, and the team's plan is not set in stone.
Grim, the last holdover from the original SoaR squad that was signed by Dignitas, has statistically been the worst performer of the current five since moving to a more supportive role.
The instability comes at a time when Dignitas had been on the upswing after the addition of Peter "ptr" Gurney, who has performed massively for the squad.
Dignitas will field the following roster against compLexity tonight:
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Anthony "gMd" Guimond
- Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado (Coach)
If the additions were to become permanent, it would become the second time this year that ryx was removed from a team in favor of young gMd.
