SileNt no longer on Swole Patrol
As first reported by Dust2.us yesterday, Swole Patrol were set to play their semi-final match in the StarSeries i-League Season 6 qualifier against NRG with a tweaked roster, fielding FYB duo Braxton "swag" Pierce and Edgar "MarKE" Jimenez instead of Samuel "SileNt" Portillo.
SileNt later confirmed that he would no longer be playing with the muscle men on Twitter, and that he is "not sure is next" for him.
SileNt had been part of Muffin Lightning (which became Swole Patrol after the addition of Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir) since last August. In that time, the team attended the WESG World Finals, and the recent FACEIT Americas Minor. They also notably failed to reach ESL Pro League, and more recently crashed out of MDL playoffs after the departure of Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne.
The roster Swole Patrol fielded last night in the StarSeries i-League Season 6 qualifier was:
- Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir
- Austin "Cooper" Abadir
- Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
- Braxton "swag" Pierce
- Edgar "MarKE" Jimenez
It is not known if this formulation of players will be a long-term thing for the Patrol.
The new five admittedly faced a tall order in their first match against NRG, which the Pro League team won handily with a 2-0. swag's recent struggles continue, with the former compLexity star turning in a dismal 19-33 performance.
