Cloud9 eliminate Na'Vi in New York; make playoffs
The opening map of the BO3 series was Mirage, Na'Vi began on the Counter-Terrorist side, and took the opening pistol. Victory was short-lived, however, as Cloud9 immediately answered back with an eco round. This began a streaky half, as the Americans rattled off three more wins, followed by a five round burst from Na'Vi, with the half ultimately ending at 8-7 in favor of Cloud9. C9 took the pistol on their CT side, but were given a taste of their own medicine when Na'Vi eco'd them on the back of four Deagle kills from Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev. This would be the last significant threat posted by the CIS team, as after winning the following rounds, Cloud9 completely shut them down, thanks to stellar play from Timothy "autimatic" Ta and Will "RUSH" Wierzba.
Moving on to Train, Na'Vi's pick, Cloud9 took the opening pistol on their CT-side, and won the following two rounds. Na'Vi went on to win seven of the next eight rounds, which would represent their full amount for the half. Switching sides, the Americans won the pistol, but immediately handed the advantage back to Na'Vi in the following round. The CIS team would win one more round before Cloud9 tallied four of their own, putting the score at 12-9 in their favor. One more round is all the Ukrainian-Russian squad would muster, as another four straight runs ended their tournament life.
