North edge out Gale Force

The Danish powerhouse have beaten Gale Force in a tight 16-14 game.

The map of choice for this match was Cobblestone, a very strong map for both teams. Gale Force had the pistol advantage in this game, and won both pistol rounds as well as the two subsequent ones. However, North went on to have a dominant first half, winning 11 CT rounds in a row, mainly due to the star play from Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså. Taking the map into context, this is a very impressive feat from the North side.

However, despite playing on the harder side of the map and despite North having one of the strongest T sides in the world, Gale Force mounted a strong comeback, with solid performances by Guillermo "guishorro" Areco and Fernando "chuti" Luis Planchart. They managed to win 10 rounds, where eventually North won the last round to secure their victory.

North will now move on to play the winner of Kinguin vs CLG in a best of one to determine who will advance to the playoffs with the first seed, while Gale Force will play the loser of that match in a BO3 to determine who will be eliminated from the tournament.
