Mask buff? jL explains why he's wearing one at IEM Katowice 2025
Justinas "jL" Lekavičius caught the attention of thousands of fans on February 3rd as he wore a mask in the Natus Vincere-Spirit matchup at IEM Katowice 2025 Stage 2.
This led fans to think that jL had the flu or something, but turns out that the Lithuanian star simply isn't feeling comfortable with his smile at the moment.
"The cleaner at my hotel room threw away my temporary front tooth that I'm currently using before getting an implant in a couple of weeks," jL wrote on X after the NAVI v. Spirit game. "I wasn't comfortable showing it on stream."
The mask didn't hinder jL's abilities whatsoever as he was NAVI's highest-rated player and top fragger against Spirit. This was NAVI's first victory against Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and co. since September 2024.
Given that NAVI have to prepare for the IEM Katowice playoffs, we'll likely see jL wearing a mask for the remainder of the competition.
