Wildcard to debut in European tournament today

Wildcard will kick off their 2025 season today against the Russian team Insilio in the quarterfinals of Frost and Fire Europe Season 1, a $40,000 online event. The match will be played at 2 PM ET and the winner face SINNERS tomorrow.

This will be the first time fans will see Wildcard on the server since their run at the Perfect World Shanghai Major in December. Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and his men had great results at the event, defeating Fnatic, Virtus.pro, and Passion UA in the Opening Stage before crashing out in the Elimination Stage.

Wildcard are considered heavy favorites against Insilio as the Russians are merely the #101 team in the world in HLTV's ranking, whereas Wildcard sit at #19 in HLTV's ranking and #21 in the Valve Ranking System (VRS). In fact, Wildcard are the highest-ranking team attending Frost and Fire, which also features 9 Pandas and SINNERS' new lineups.

This tournament mainly serves for Wildcard to get rid of the off-season rust and test new tactics as they'll be attending BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 next week and IEM Katowice at the end of the month, but it would be nice for them to start the season with the right foot.
