Mythic bring in new blood

Mythic have returned to full strength with the addition of Joey "hyza" Cornelius as the former Akimbo player announced his addition to the stream team last night on X. hyza joins Mythic in place of long-time member Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir, who was confirmed to have stepped down from the team on November 27th for personal reasons.

hyza joins Mythic after spending the majority of his career at the ESEA Advanced level with teams like Akimbo, Zomblers, and Take Flyte. He has been on the lookout for a new team since early September having been cut from Akimbo in favor of Zhou "zy" Yi ahead of the team's successful ESEA Advanced Season 50 campaign that saw the squad top the division over undefined.

Since then, hyza has been largely inactive outside of playing CCT NA Series 3 with the Lore mix, with his focus seemingly being on his stream. In 2025, hyza will help Mythic attempt to return to ESL Challenger League as the squad were demoted after a 5-23 regular season.

hyza will make his debut with Mythic tonight as the team take on BOSS in the Perseverance League Persevere Division.
