ESL reveal ESL Challenger Katowice Closed Qualifier invites
Last night ESL revealed the invites for ESL Challenger Katowice NA's Closed Qualifier, with top NA squads Wildcard and Nouns locking down spots on the road to being NA's sole team in attendance at the Polish LAN. ESL previously announced the invites to EC Katowice, with MIBR being the only team from the Americas to garner a direct invite.
For both teams, the chance to attend another international LAN ahead of the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR is of incredible importance, especially for Nouns who haven't attended a pro LAN since the previous Americas RMR. Wildcard, meanwhile, have had a far busier schedule with an appearance at EPL Season 20 and an upcoming appearance at ESL Challenger Atlanta — albeit with a sub in place of Love "phzy" Smidebrant.
The Open Qualifier to decide the final two spots in the Closed Qualifier is currently running, with NRG, E-Xolos LAZER, MIGHT, Legacy, BOSS, Party Astronauts, timbermen, and Akimbo all in the running for one of two spots.
