What to expect from M80 v. Falcons
The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 began today with FaZe taking on Rare Atom, but North American fans must wait until tomorrow to see their teams on the server. Before Complexity face Metizport, M80 will have the tall task to face Falcons on their debut series, where just one loss means elimination.
Regional heroes, Worldwide underdogs
Of the last eight series (including the 2x Bo1s series from ECL NA) M80 won seven of them without dropping a single map, only losing 2-1 against Wildcard. Often times, M80 find themselves in this position, leaving North America with a very positive record but then arriving in international LANs and swiftly being eliminated. Is now the time we see a deep run?

It's been a weird stint for Falcons. A team with a couple of legends and some potential legends like them should be doing way better than a 47.1% win rate. The times are different now, the meta has changed, and even the game itself has changed. The Falcons project, built without any foundation, is mediocre at its very best, and it doesn't have a lot of room for improvement, but against M80, for now, Falcons are the favorites.
