CCT NA Series #2 playoffs invites revealed

Yesterday CCT revealed the invites to the CCT NA Series #2 playoffs, with a number of top NA teams set to contest the $20,000 event. Among them are M80, Wildcard, NRG, and Nouns, with Nouns returning to the second series after being the runner-up in the first series. The winner of the first series, Legacy, is notably missing as the squad are still in Brazil at the moment.

The final matches of the group stage are still ongoing at the time of publication, however the majority of teams have already earned spots in playoffs. FLUFFY AIMERS and undefined had the easiest routes into playoffs, with both teams finishing their groups with perfect 3-0 records. As for Akimbo and E-Xolos LAZER, their paths into playoffs saw both of the teams suffer losses to undefined. Akimbo's route was the easier of the two as they had to play no ECL teams while E-Xolos LAZER claimed a 2-0 win over Revenge Nation.

As for Final Form and DETONATE, the 3-1 and 3-2 teams, respectively, they both claimed wins over ECL teams — Take Flyte and LAG alongside a mix of Advanced squads to make their way into the sixteen-team playoffs.

Of the teams that failed to make it through the swiss stage, LAG's failure is the one likely to raise the most eyebrows. The ECL playoffs squad suffered losses to DETONATE, Revenge Nation, and InControl while only taking a win over jahsdnmasjdm v2. Their failure to make it out of the swiss groups is quite the surprise as they are usually a reliably stage contender in the NA subtop.
