Canada and USA qualify for IESF Female World Esports Championship 2024
The Canadian and American women's squads easily outplayed the rest of North America in the IESF Female World Championship 2024 Americas Qualifier A to book their tickets to Riyadh. Canada only lost once to the USA, which remained undefeated.
After beating Brazil in a qualifier that featured just the two squads, Argentina will represent the South American subregion. The Argentinian mix won 13-11, 13-8, over the Brazilian Smoke roster.
Back in the northern part of the continent, the USA started their campaign with two 13-0 wins against Honduras, while Canada managed a 13-0, 13-1 victory over Guatemala. The path would continue in a similar manner, except when the two favorites met in the server. The USA proved to be the superior squad, as Canada would take the 2-0 loss after a 13-5 Anubis and a 13-11 Dust2.
The USA would finish the qualifier in first place, while Canada took second. Both have secured their spot in the IESF Female World Championship 2024, which is set to start on November 11th and end on November 19th, just three days before the start of ESL Impact Season 6 LAN Finals. Behind Canada, Colombia followed, with Honduras and Guatemala taking the final two places.
