CCT Season 2 NA Series 1 starts with steel, swag, and n0thing set to play

CCT Season 2 Series NA Series 1 has begun today, with sixteen teams being invited to the swiss stage while an additional eight will be invited to playoffs at a later date. The teams in attendance for this first of three events are competing for the lion's share of $25,000 while also earning CCT circuit points for a future Global Finals event.

The teams in attendance for this stage consist of a mix of ESL Challenger League teams, ESEA Advanced teams, and mixteams formed specifically for this event. Of that latter group, Vibe is the most exciting as it is a throwback roster consisting of Josh "steel" Nissan, Braxton "swag" Pierce and Marco "Pol0" Hernandez alongside former Cloud9 players Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert. The old timers will look to do some damage against the next generation of semi professional players.

Other notable teams in the tournament include ECL squads FLUFFY AIMERS, LAG, and Limitless as well as top Advanced playoff squads Lore, OMiT, Perseverance, Strife, and Peter "ptr" Gurney's Retirement Home.
