EliGE. That's it.

What to expect from Complexity v. Liquid

An American Derby once more.

It's a showdown in Dallas between North America's two best teams. Okay, maybe that one can be argued with M80 constantly nipping at the heels of Liquid. For their credit, Liquid have started to show more of a fight. Quarterfinals in ESL Pro League Season 19, Finals in the CCT Global Finals, and now they're hoping for another impressive LAN finish despite the current roster turmoil.

Complexity's Clutch

In recent days there is news swirling around Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli's contract situation, with Complexity remarking yesterday that a decision had been made about the Norwegian's future. Beyond that, the team's form has also been red-hot following an ESL Pro League Season 19 where they made it to the semifinals and nearly took out their European rivals MOUZ.

  • hallzerk is certainly proving himself again

  • EliGE is as dominant as ever

  • floppy really needs to start coming alive again

Liquid Luck?

Quarterfinals, Finals, and now maybe a championship win on home soil? The Liquid organization have been searching for a major title for so long and now might be the best opportunity for them. Yes, Casper "cadiaN" Møller might be leaving the team, but he also could be staying? Who knows what is in the future for the roster, especially if they start really winning.

  • Liquid's overall performances have improved

  • NAF & Twistzz remain dominant

  • skullz needs to get things going

Previous Matchups

Man oh man, these two are gonna be going at it to repeat that final at the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR final elimination match. Liquid are a much better team than then, but Complexity have also improved as well. In this best of one, it's just going to come down to the map and who woke up better in the morning.

Likely Vetoes

A best-of-one where Complexity won't play Dust2 or Mirage and love Vertigo now... This is going to be interesting.

  • Liquid remove Vertigo

  • Complexity remove Dust2

  • Complexity remove Mirage

  • Liquid remove Anubis

  • Liquid remove Nuke

  • Complexity remove Ancient

  • Inferno will be played

Maps won't necessarily favor Complexity on this one, but we'll just have to see what happens inside of the server.

Complexity and Liquid will get things started at IEM Dallas tomorrow at 02:30PM.
