You could have blinked and you'd miss it. Liquid are through to the next round of the CCT Global Finals after taking down ENCE in a clean sweep. The international squad dominated in the opening map of Nuke, but had a much tougher time on their own pick of Ancient. Regardless, Liquid was able to sweep aside ENCE as they headed to the semi-finals.
Nuke could not even be called that much of a contest, as ENCE could barely find any way into the game on their T-side. Liquid was utterly dominant, shutting out the Polish squad and only allowing them a few bomb plants in the entire first half. Liquid, already ahead 10-2 heading into their T-side, swept up the next three rounds to come away with a 13-2 win and a 1-0 series advantage.
Ancient was a different story for Liquid as their opening dominance soon fell awry. Despite a massive 7-3 lead on their T-side to begin the game, ENCE fought their way bought to win six straight rounds to take a 9-7 lead while on their own T-side. But it wasn't all lost. Liquid started to string some rounds together and gained enough momentum to retake the lead at 10-9 and eventually push for a 13-10 win to secure the series win.
Liquid are now through to the semifinals of the online event where they await the winner of Astralis v. Aurora.
