Media: North America finally awarded another Major
According to an HLTV report, BLAST will run the first Major of 2025 majors in Austin, Texas. This will be the first time that a Major has been held in North America since the famed 2018 ELEAGUE Boston Major. This will also be BLAST's second Major.
The United States has already hosted three Majors: 2016 MLG Columbus, 2017 ELEAGUE Atlanta, and 2018 ELEAGUE Boston. With a six-year gap since the last Major was held in North America, fans will be excited about one of the biggest events finally coming back home.
HLTV's report also said that BLAST could be announcing the 2025 Austin Major during the BLAST Premier Spring Final, which will be played between June 12th and June 16th. Besides the Major, BLAST will reveal its 2025 schedule during the event.
The first 2025 Major is scheduled is set between June 9th and June 22nd, while the second will be played during the first 14 days of December.
The next upcoming Major will be the 2024 Perfect World Shanghai Major, set to begin on December 1st and will end on December 15th. This will be the first time that a Major has been held in Asia.
