What to expect from Imperial v. Vitality
Imperial being 1-1 so far in the pool is a strong showing for the Brazilians so far. An impressive upset against Virtus.pro on Inferno gave them the glorious reward of going up against Spirit and Danil "donk" Kryshkovets. Now, they have to play against the reigning Major champions and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut. Rough.
Imperial's solid form
Imperial is fairly consistent over the course of the past week having defeated teams like Apeks, GamerLegion, and ENCE. Losses to ECSTATIC and HEROIC hurt, but they were close enough that they show this squad is not one that can just be completely bullied over in a best-of-three.
-
HEN1 needs to control ZywOo
-
Felps has to continue rolling back the years with his performances
-
Imperative that noway and decenty are the emotional drivers of this squad
Vitalty's awkward start
This isn't the same dominant Vitality that we've seen for a while. They struggled against Eternal Fire and then found themselves scraping by TheMongolz. This was not a confidence boosting game for the French organization and if anything, Day 1 exposed that this team could definitely be taken down a peg or two.
-
ZwyOo is ZwyOo.
-
Spinx and flameZ need to be that lethal duo
-
Can apEX call against some Brazilian magic?
Previous Matchups
These two squads have never played one another before.
Likely Vetoes
Vetoes are going to be interesting, especially as Imperial comes into the game as the higher seed.
-
Vitality ban Ancient
-
Vitality ban Mirage
-
Imperial ban Vertigo
-
Imperial ban Anubis
-
Imperial ban Nuke
-
Vitality ban Inferno
-
Decider is Overpass
It will become an interesting battle between the two teams, but thanks to Vitality needing to ban both Imperial and their's autoban of Ancient, Imperial could have the upper hand from the veto.
