floppy: "I love getting carried, it's fun"
Complexity's 1-0 match versus HEROIC on Vertigo was a complete slog, seeing Complexity need to pull out all the stops to win the match in overtime after failing in regulation. However, a win is a win is a win, with this win putting Complexity one Bo3 away from making top eight at the first CS2 Major. Ricky "floppy" Keremy is definitely someone who understands the win comes first ahead of stats as the anchor had a difficult time during the match against HEROIC. This was one of the key topics Dust2.us' Ryan Friend discussed with the player along with his individual performance, how the team is feeling being one step away from top eight, and the overall state of the team.

What an incredible game, Complexity are now 2-0 up. How does that make you feel knowing this is one of the best starts you have ever had at a Major?
Yeah, it's a good feeling being carried by the boys, I'm really proud of them for their endurance. There were a lot of really close rounds today, especially in overtime. There was some trade-on-trade action at B on our T-side and it ended up being a 1v1 that Grim lost, but then we managed to pick ourselves back up and keep moving forward.
It was a really really intense game today.
It was really hard to see Complexity lose those last three rounds in regulation. How do you keep that same mentality of going back in and fighting when it's hard to lose when you could've carried it over the line?
It sucks obviously. It's a really shitty feeling, but with the amount of experience we have in these kinds of games... you guys watch them, you're all stressed out. Imagine us, we've dealt with this so many times so we can just get through this game, it's no different.
Being 2-0, you have three chances to make playoffs. How confident are you of your chances to make playoffs?
If our team keeps this up we can do it. If I can start shooting my gun it will be even easier.
You seem a little harsh on yourself, is there any reason that you're being hard on yourself?
Not really shooting my gun as well as I could be. As long as I get traded it doesn't really matter, I'll run in first and if my teammate can trade me then it is what it is, then the stats don't mean shit.
Obviously I'd like to look a little bit better on the scoreboard, who wouldn't? Nobody wants to be at the bottom of the scoreboard if you're about to lose a game potentially. It's a shitty feeling but it is what it is. I love getting carried, it's fun.
Complexity will be facing off against MOUZ tomorrow at 10:00AM.
