NRG eliminated from PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR
NRG are the first North American team to leave Monterrey empty-handed as MIBR defeated the Canadians 2-0 in the 0-1 elimination BO3 series. NRG had previously lost to Imperial on Day 1, and couldn't bounce back today.
The series against MIBR had a very close second map that could have translated into a decider map, but the Brazilians took the 2-0 win during overtime.
Day 1 is always the worst day, as teams enter the server completely cold, with some nerves showing. This was the case for NRG yesterday against Imperial when they lost 13-2 on Overpass. Coming into Day 2, the first game jitters weren't really out of the way, as the first map would be another disaster.
The series against MIBR started with the exact scoreline from the previous day, 13-2 to the Brazilians, this time on Inferno, picked by NRG. Despite the blow out, the Canadians showed a good T-side on Anubis and managed a 7-5 halftime lead there but MIBR would come back, sending the game to overtime. There, NRG were only able to win a single round, losing the map 16-13 and the series 2-0. This meant a 0-2 exit from the Americas RMR
