$5,000 CAD FragFest Toronto BYOC LAN set to start next week
Professional caster and North American Counter-Strike personality Mohan "launders" Govindasamy announced on December 10th, in partnership with Rivalry Canada, that he is hosting a BYOC LAN event in Toronto with 16 teams fighting for a $5,000 CAD prize pool. FragFest Toronto is now right around the corner, and is set to start next week on January 6th.
Of the sixteen teams signed up, only one is well-known by NA CS fans, as the jungle has returned as a mixteam for the event. Darius "PNDLM" Bandali, and Rudy "PALADIN" Rokin are joined by Brandon "YuZ" Cyr and Tianyi "Fr3nk1e" He, with the team being far and away the most experienced at the event.
FragFest is Toronto's first CS2 LAN event and it will not only showcase some of the local players but also some local (and visiting) casters, as launders himself announced that fans who get tickets will have a chance to cast the event.
The one-day LAN event is set to take place at the Red Bull Gaming Studio in Downtown Toronto, starting at 10:30AM. If you are looking to buy a spectator ticket, you can do so here.
