M80 latest team hit by visa issues ahead of Atlanta
If there is going to be one issue plaguing ESL Challenger Atlanta more so than any other international event, it's the visa problems. With BESTIA missing two, GamerLegion's Sebastian "volt" Maloș not making the trip, and TheMongolz barely making it to the event all together, it should not come as a surprise that there are more issues.
While many would have expected an international team to need a last-second replacement, it's actually the North America Open Qualifier winner, M80, that is having issues.
Team IGL Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen's arrival to Atlanta has been delayed, as announced by the organization early this morning. So will return former Complexity stalwart Rory "dephh" Jackson, the team's coach, to the game server. dephh last played in a competitive Counter-Strike match in October 2019 in a 0-2 loss against ATK, which coincidentally featured now-Complexity stars Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Johnny "JT" Theodosiou.
This is also the second American team experiencing issues as Complexity coach Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen will not be in attendance due to what is described as a "personal matter". Former Cloud9, Torqued, and Ghost coach James "JamezIRL" Macaulay will be stepping up to the plate for the #5 team in the world this weekend.
