Trivium add SummY as coach
After securing a berth to MDL Season 34 through Relegation, Trivium have brought on Owen "SummY" Mustard to coach their lineup.
SummY spent the previous ESEA season playing with Icelandic squad KR in EU Main, with the team ending their run with a 3-13 record. In a TwitLonger released after the end of the season, SummY said that he felt "the team was at a stalemate" with the players having varying levels of motivation, and mentioned that a language barrier between him and the rest of the team also led to a lack of chemistry.
The British coach will join the Trivium roster as they prepare for the upcoming MDL season, where they will face an elevated playing field compared to their past matches in Advanced. Notably, Trivium ended their regular season of Advanced with a 9-7 record, but still managed to qualify for MDL after prevailing over Serac and AA in Relegation. SummY's addition makes him the third British coach to link up with a North American MDL lineup, following in the footsteps of Ian "Immi" Harding and Brandon "weber" Weber.
Trivium are now:
- Brett "hyper" Rhein
- Daniel "bokumbop" Yoo
- Wyatt "Top^" Beakler
- Derek "Hendy" Hendrixson
- Walker "walker" Harris
- Owen "SummY" Mustard (Coach)
Trivium now await the start of MDL Season 34, which is set to kick off on April 27th.
