Recon 5 win first GO Spawn Qualifier
The first online qualifier for the GO Spawn (previously TO Spawn) has concluded, with Recon 5 pulling together a perfect day to win their share of the $755 prize pool and a spot in the $7,460 LAN finals scheduled for June 19th-21st.
Recon 5 breezed through four series yesterday without dropping a map. They started with a win against Dignitas fe in their opener, then followed it up with a win over Oceanus in the quarterfinals and Addice in the semifinals to qualify for the June LAN.
Their final match of the day against Third Impact was a formality in the sense that both teams had already secured a spot in the bigger tournament later this year, but there was money on the line and Recon 5 cashed in.
As for Third Impact, the Advanced side dealt with The Center Ring and eliminated afraidcsgo, both in two maps, but then needed all three maps to prevail over voLante in the semi-finals. The full bracket for the event can be found here.

The next online qualifier for GO Spawn will take place on Saturday April 25th. Addice chose to forgo their cash prize, instead they will be guaranteed a spot in the next Online Qualifier.
The most recent iteration of the culminating LAN event was won in 2019 by MASSIVEimpact, featuring Sebastian "seb" Bucki, Connor "CONNOR93" Glover, Collin "wrath" McSweegan, Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic, and Jonathon "Jonji" Carey.
