paiN welcome in three young stars
After more than a month of speculation, paiN have finally confirmed their new roster after it was initially reported by Roque Marques of Dust2 Brasil. After parting ways with Wesley "hardzao" Lopes, Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato, and Romeu "zevy" Rocco, the organization set their sights on Kaue "kauez" Kaschuk to join the main roster alongside Lucas "lux" Meneghini and Cássio "cass1n" Santos.
During this same time paiN was also rumored to have entered the fray for Gabreil "FalleN" Toledo. kauez joins the paiN roster even after being touted as a potential addition to FURIA's main lineup. FURIA later settled on signing Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes from Imperial alongside FalleN.
kauez is seen as one of Brazil's rising stars, having performed admirably throughout the first half of the year, boasting a 1.16 rating over 103 maps. Before FURIA Academy, the young star played on MEGAZORD and DETONA. However, the player's career was hindered by a VAC ban he incurred as a result of using a skin-changer. The ban is set to end on October 31st, allowing both him and paiN to participate in the upcoming 2024 PGL Copenhagen CS2 Major.
paiN appears to be betting on their younger players, even as FURIA and Imperial continue to rely on the star-power of proven veterans. Both cass1n and lux will be getting their opportunity on a larger stage, with kauez set for success now that his VAC ban is almost over.
paiN's official new roster is:
-
Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt
-
Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
-
Cássio "cass1n" Santos
-
Lucas "lux" Meneghini
-
Kaue "kauez" Kaschuk
-
Henrique "rikz" Waku (Coach)
