hallzerk on his individual form: "I am definitely not playing to my potential"
While many would've hoped that Complexity could hit the ground running following the addition of Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, that has not been the case thus far for North America's top team. Being sent to the Showdown at BLAST Fall Groups last week, the NA side have gotten off to a slow start at the IEM Cologne Play-in. An opening-day overtime on Inferno loss against fnatic knocked them down to the lower bracket where they will be playing for their life against OG. Returning to the lineup recently at BLAST after being absent for the last few events of the Spring season, Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli chatted with Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore following the loss to the new-look fnatic.

I wanted to start off by asking you what went wrong in your opening BO1? Just sort of a general outline where the gameplan failed.
I think we had a good game plan, I think we just had small mistakes, micro mistakes everywhere which makes us lose rounds. I think we had a good game plan and we knew what we had to do, we just had small mistakes everywhere which makes us lose.
When you came back together after the player break, did the team change in any way from your time away from them because they were using Sonic for such a long time and you were only able to communicate with them remotely? When you reconvened with the squad did they undergo any sort of evolution since you were last playing with them?
Yeah, I mean we tried to fix minor mistakes throughout the tournament so that when they had a different player, they had different mistakes to fix and there were some new strats and stuff so when I came back it was a bit different of course as was expected. We've been playing for a while now with practice for three or four weeks now so we are back to normal.
With you coming back into the roster only relatively recently, do you feel like as a player you are back up to 100% yet or is there still some rust to shake off after such an extended hiatus from competing with them?
I mean, there has definitely been some rust. I am definitely not playing to my potential. This was a bad first game here and was just a straight-up bad tournament for all of BLAST so I have some rust to take off and I need more game time to try and improve my small mistakes here and there and just shoot heads.
