What to expect from Liquid v. FaZe
Liquid and FaZe meet again, this time in a fight for 1st place in Group C after FaZe beat G2 in the lower bracket to get a shot at revenge against Liquid. This series will award its winner with a spot in the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, whilst the loser will have to fight in the Knockout stage. Can Liquid make it 3-0 in the group stage or will FaZe get revenge?
Liquid looking exciting and... solid
Liquid has been a main topic all over the world of Counter-Strike. North American fans are now revoking their support for the team, analysts and casters have been praising the new lineup, Europe is starting to fear the roster, and the squad has been on a roll to start its stint together, winning two series against the #3 and #4 in the world. The players were optimistic about their early performances, but surely they didn't expect themselves to be this dominant. Although some minor mistakes have happened, Liquid has been dominating their opponents.
-
NAF has been the most impactful player in this lineup
-
oSee as consistent as the speed of light in a vacuum
-
Rainwaker and Patsi already well-integrated within the team
-
YEKINDAR has shown he is able to frag and call when needed
Inconsistent FaZe without RobbaN
Many people overlook the role played by the coach, but FaZe's players have been missing having their coach behind them, either for emotional support or strategic help. They are still strong, don't get me wrong, but they don't feel as strong, and I believe they also don't think they are as strong. The 2-0 win against OG felt bland and the 2-1 loss against Liquid could have been much worse, but the win over G2 showed that there's still a lot of life. Were they getting warmed up and will they now show up like their true selves?
-
rain is still looking to be more impactful

Previous Matchups
Prior to Liquid changing to a European core, the NA lineup was never able to win a series against FaZe but ever since changing two NA players for EU talent, the team already has a better record and, due to the changes, that's what counts at the moment. The series between FaZe and Liquid showed the worst and the best sides of both teams and it looks like Liquid has the best best side during this BLAST event. Can FaZe show better form today or will Liquid keep on surprising everyone?
Likely Vetoes
Liquid have said and already shown that they won't be shying away from any map at the moment. A case in point was the series against G2, where they left Vertigo as the decider even though the majority of the roster hadn't played the map in 2023 so far. That will definitely throw a wrench in the works if you are trying to predict the picks and bans of this series, but let's give it a try.
