Complexity have one last chance
Coming off of their loss against BIG, Complexity need to take down Movistar Riders in the lower bracket if they want to avoid the sordid last-chance bracket, a fate Evil Geniuses found themselves in last week. As Complexity are in far better form than Movistar Riders, the expectation for this match would be that Complexity cruises to an easy win if they want to plot their course to playoffs.
The match began on Riders pick of Vertigo, where Complexity did not have the easiest time getting their groove. After a few back and forth rounds to start off the half, the Spaniards took control and overwhelmed the Americans to a 10-5 first half victory. The second half wouldn't get much better as Complexity could only muster three T-sided rounds as they would lose the map 16-8.
With Complexity finally getting a chance to play on their map choice, there was hope that the Americans could reverse their fortunes. Things started off amazingly as Complexity took a 10-0 lead to begin the half and would finish it at 10-5 in their favor. However, that is when it all started to crumble. Complexity couldn't handle the Riders quick aggression and opening picks on the defense, causing that 10 round lead to evaporate. The Riders would continue to dominate on their T-side and close out the game in a 16-13 come-from-behind win.
Complexity now have it all to do as they play in the last chance bracket where they are one loss away from finishing in last place.
