Fragadelphia 13 Online underway; NSG events to heighten security following threat
The first two days of Fragadelphia Online have come to a close, seeing the top-seeded teams make their way through the upper bracket without too much trouble.
Round one went as expected, with the only noteworthy result seeing Clout Chasers v3 take InFinity to double digits on Overpass and Train.
Continuing through the upper bracket, the action started to pick up with Bushido Boyz absolutely crushing Mode Media House (formerly known as Imperial) with devastating 16-1 and 16-3 wins on Mirage and Nuke, respectively. Another interesting matchup saw recent Main winners nTice force ATK into overtime on Inferno, though ATK would manage to close out the map 19-17 and then find a quick 16-6 win on Dust2.
RBG also gave a decent showing against New Identity as they managed to take the top MDL side to double overtime on Inferno, though in the end New Identity overpowered RBG to take the series 2-0
Rounding out the upper bracket quarterfinals, mix-team J Money Team squared off against InFinity. J Money Crew boasts a roster reminiscent of the original Ghost squad, with the team featuring Phong "bee" Nguyên, Jason "neptune" Tran, Matthew "WARDELL" Yu, Jake "kaboose" McDonald, and Leonardo "Laski" Arroyo. Starting off on Dust2, the two teams were neck and neck though J Money Crew managed to pull ahead and take the 16-14. Mirage ended up less close as neptune led the way for his team to take the map 16-9.
Completing last night's action, the first round of the lower bracket played out. This side of the bracket had far less surprises, with recent NCS Denver Major winners Drove Here from Cali managing to survive after besting Clout Chasers v3 with dual 16-13 wins on Inferno and Nuke.
With fourteen teams remaining, today will see the following matchups play out:

On a related note, after Damian "droid" Boulware shared a screenshot from a FACEIT match in which a certain "ohcgnor" (spell it backwards) said he/she "might shoot up frag irl", N3rd Street Gamers CEO John Fazio said that there will be "armed security and a police presence" at the upcoming California LAN.
In a follow-up tweet, Fazio stated that the same measures will apply to the NCS Major Chicago, which is taking place this weekend.
