Renegades set to open esports facility in Michigan
Following in the footsteps of a number of North American organizations, Renegades have announced that they will be opening a dedicated esports facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with the official unveiling set to take place on June 28th. The CS:GO team will likely have to wait to see the new facility as they are set to make their way to Germany for ESL One Cologne, with the event kicking off on July 2nd.
In partnership with mobile ticket marketplace Gametime, the GAMETIME Detriot facility will be the official headquarters of the Renegades organization. The new location will play host to events and tournaments, while simultaneously providing a space for the organization's professional teams to practice.
The headquarters will be open seven days a week from 11 AM to 10 PM, offering "open play access for professional and casual gamers" and a "complete gaming experience for youth, high school, collegiate, and professional teams." Those interested in attending the grand opening of the facility on June 28th at 6 PM must RSVP here.
Complexity also recently announced the opening of their GameStop Performance Centre, a facility which included a lab for research and testing of new esports products and merchandise, a stream studio, and training rooms and lounges for players among many other amenities. Liquid embarked on a similar venture in 2017, leading to the creation of the Alienware Training Facility.
