SoaR take down Good People to stay alive in CEVO
SoaR began Nuke on the traditionally disfavored Terrorist side. Not to be daunted, they won the pistol and added four more rounds to their total before Roy "StrongLegs" Ahad's Good People answered back. For the rest of the half, neither team was able to string more than two rounds together, and the end result was an authoritative 10-5 lead for SoaR.
Good People answered back on their own T-side with a pistol victory, but SoaR immediately countered with an eco victory, and brought the score to 13-6. From here it was just a matter of time until they closed out their map pick, 16-8.
SoaR duplicated their strong start from the previous map on Cache, again leaping out to a 5-0 lead. This time around, Good People were able to to mount a comeback, and actually wound up winning the half 8-7.
The boys from SoaR are evidently fans of the number five, as they again took the opening five rounds of the second half, taking a 12-8 lead for themselves. Some tit-for-tat rounds eventually saw Good People place SoaR onto a full eco in the 27th round of the match. This is where the final nails in Good People's coffin were driven home, as Michael "Grim" Wince picked up a deagle kill onto Chad "oderus" Miller through smoke, and SoaR were able to take the round. They would follow that round win up with another, finishing the map 16-12, and taking the series 2-0.
SoaR's next opponent in the lower bracket will be Gale Force, who they will face in the lower bracket finals — that match is currently scheduled for December 4th. The winner of that showdown will go on to face Rise Nation in the bracket's grand finals, to see who will claim $6,000 and bragging rights.
