UPDATE: BBC subtract Minus; to field sLip
Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz has taken to Twitter to announce that he has been cut from ESEA Advanced side BBC. This marks the second player in as many weeks that the team have removed, with both casualities being the youngsters the veteran core picked up at the beginning of the season.
When contacted by Dust2.us, David "Toy" Han chalked the move up to "personal differences", and confirmed that Ricky "sLip" Cohen would be filling in as the team's fifth.
While not a household name to modern CS:GO fans, sLip saw Invite-level action in both 1.6 and CS:GO, with his most notable appearances coming with mouseSpaz alongside Pujan "FNS" Mehta and Stephen "reltuC" Cutler, or in the initial Tempo Storm lineup that also featured Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki.
Though he has been on BBC's ESEA roster all season long, this will mark sLip's first time stepping into the server this season — and he will have to pay his league dues for the privilege.
BBC will be finishing out their Advanced playoffs run with the following roster:
- Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne
- David "Toy" Han
- Kyuhyun "blade" William Uhm
- "burrite"
- Ricky "sLip" Cohen
With their shaken-up roster, BBC are set to take on Thunder Logic at 9:30 EDT tonight for their semi-final bout. Both teams have already secured a berth in MDL Season 30 Relegation at minimum, so will both be playing for a shot at a guaranteed move-up to MDL for Season 31.
UPDATE: In a Twitter reply to the article, Toy remarks that the roster change was an April Fools joke, despite earlier saying the team didn't want to continue "playing with a child." The team are currently fielding Minus in their match against Thunder Logic. As usual, North American CS players can't be relied on for much.
