Roster featuring ex-FLUFFY AIMERS members wins ESEA Main S52 in five-map showdown
1JIN won the top prize and a berth into ESEA Advanced S53 after an intense face-off with dotStats in the final. dotStats made a comeback, but in the end, the winner's bracket advantage for 1JIN proved to be too steep a hill to climb.
1JIN took the series in a 3-2 thriller, starting with a one-map advantage and their map pick of Mirage. Jason "jason" Garcia went 21-14 in the first map to secure his team a 2-0 lead to start the series.
With their backs against the wall, dotStats came back firing on maps two and three behind solid showings from 1ben.
It would all be for naught however, as 1JIN took the series on the fourth and deciding map, Anubis, 13-4 behind a team effort featuring Ahmed "ayy" Mahmoud and Israel "LEARSI" Vargas.
The top-8 placed teams all clinched a spot in Advanced next season, with FlyQuest Red being a notable qualifier, coming in 5th-6th.
