LOBOARMY win ESEA Advanced Season 52
ESEA Advanced Season 52 just wrapped up, and LOBOARMY went all the way to the Final through the upper bracket, defeating anything else to claim the top prize. LOBOARMY had already secured their spot in ECL—making them the first Peruvian team to play in NA's top domestic league—and put the cherry on top with the $7,000 prize from winning the playoffs.
Through qualifying to the Final from the upper bracket, LOBOARMY held a one-map advantage over anything else to begin the final. The series began on anything else's selction of Mirage, where anything else won 13-10 and evened the series at 1-1 behind Chris "Slash" Petersen's 22 frags.
LOBOARMY chose Train, but it proved to be even more convincing for anything else, as they took the map by a dominant score of 13-2. Slash impressed once again but it was Kameron "K4mr0" Bouma who stood out the most for anything else. The American posted a 19-6 KD with a 2.01 rating to lead all players and put his team one map from winning ESEA Advanced S52.
The series then shifted to Ancient; LOBOARMY's backs were against the wall, and they delivered. Emmanuel "SJR" Villar and Juan "Slayerhz" Rodriguez topped the scoreboard for the Peruvians with 18 frags apiece. LOBOARMY took control in the jungle and won the map 13-7 to bring the series to a fourth and final map.
The decider was on Dust2 and LOBOARMY sprinted out to a 10-2 lead to take full control in the final map. Rodrigo "Antuanette" Armando was the difference for LOBOARMY, posting a 15-6 with an insane 133 ADR in the first half. anything else were able to bring the score back to 11-6 but the comeback ended there. Antuanette ended the game 21-10 and propelled his team to a 13-6 victory to claim the crown in ESEA Advanced S52.
